According to NHAI, deliberate non-installation of Fastag on the windscreen leads to excessive delay at the toll plaza. Due to this, pedestrians have to face a lot of inconvenience on the national highway.

NHAI said a big thing in the statement

NHAI has shared some big information in its statement. The statement said that a detailed standard operating procedure has been issued to all user collection agencies and concessionaires to charge double user percentage in case FASTag is not affixed on the front windscreen. According to the statement, this information will be displayed prominently at all user fee plazas.

According to the NHAI National Highway Fee Rules, as of 2008, user fees are collected on National Highways. The work of collecting fees from users for about 45,000 kilometers of national highways and expressways is done at about 1,000 toll plazas on this highway across the country.
